We are the Kaleidoscope. Inspired by the vast wealth of human diversity,
we seek to reclaim our trust in Love by gathering in intersectional
community to explore the sacredness of all lives, voices and stories.

In 1987, 6 men founded the SILENCE=DEATH Project to support one another as an urgent response to the AIDS epidemic and ensuing political fallout of the time. They mobilized to spread the word about the epidemic and created the now-iconic Silence=Death poster featuring the pink triangle as a reference to Nazi persecution of LGBTQIA+ people in the 1930s and 1940s. It became the central visual symbol of AIDS activism.

This is our reimagination of that symbol for today’s political climate.

Why are our allies being SILENT while the
LGBTQIA+ community is stripped of its rights?
Why are our friends and family SILENT
knowing these laws will lead to our death?
We are NOT disposable.
Use your Power; your Voice.
Take a Stand. Fight Back.
Trans Rights are Human Rights.
BREAK THE SILENCE

The gender-diverse and transgender communities are the minority within a minority. We cannot fight this injustice alone. It will take our
entire community PLUS every loved one we know to make this stop. This is not a political issue. This is not liberal verses conservative or
Democrat vs Republican. This is about PEOPLE. This is a bipartisan issue because there are people with gender-diverse and transgender
loved ones on both sides of the political aisle. It will take all of us to make this world a better, safer place for all LGBTQIA+ people.
Help us spread the word about the injustice facing the transgender community and break the silence.
